Where do you live? What do you love about it?

I live in Belgium and Chamonix. In Belgium I love the culture, and in Chamonix the sport and the nature.

How did you photographic career begin?

I lived in France for ten years, and when I returned to Belgium the language was a problem. My mum and I searched for a school for days, and finally found the Art Academy in Bruges who would accept me!

Describe your first break.

When I finished my Masters Degree (in Photography) Paul Smith asked me to do his Swimwear Campaign. It remains the best day of my life.

Who are your artistic heroes?

Guy Bourdin, Tim Burton, Tim Walker, Helmut Newton, Pedro Almodovar.

Are you artistic in other ways? Can you draw?

Yes, I can draw, and I love making movies.

What advice would you give younger photographers?

Everything is possible if you really want it.

Describe the best party you have ever been to.

In Mallorca, Spain, when my favourite DJ was playing. Everyone was so happy, the music was so good, it had the perfect vibe.

What excites you?

Travelling to the sunshine.

What angers you?

When I don’t sleep enough.

What is a good life?

A life full of happy people, lots of sports, lots of sunshine, and lots of creativity and travels.
