Sinziana Velicescu

Los Angeles

Sinziana's home is Los Angeles, from where she has built her main body of work "On the Periphery" which is still ongoing. Inspired by the town's architecture, Sinziana highlights the city's strange oddities that would otherwise be hidden from our sight. She indulges in wandering around different neighbourhoods of the city, capturing the effect of human intervention on cityscapes with bold clean images. Her work has been shown internationally in Chicago, New York, Hamburg, Melbourne, Tokyo, and Rome. Photo Boîte recently named her one of 30 female photographers under 30 to watch in 2016.
