Leonid Tishkov Moscow, RussiaLeonid has travelled from the Arctic to Siberia, New Zealand and Taiwan. He calls it the performance of a lifetime. He lives and works in Moscow, and has also been widely exhibited across Europe and America. A man of limitless talent, Leonid also makes installations and sculptures and is a graphic artist as well as a published author and poet. His work is held by museums around the world including MOMA in New York.
Mainly work using a film camera (Mamya 7ii), and for extreme conditions a digital camera (Canon EOS 5D).
An illuminated moon shines quietly by an Arctic lake. Magdalene Fjord was shot by Leonid as part of his ongoing poem about a man who met the moon and stayed with him forever. Leonid has travelled the world with his moon for more than ten years.
