Where do you live? What do you love about it?
I live in Brooklyn and I love the energy and people of New York.
How did your photographic career begin?I have always wanted to catch and frame certain moments, faces, looks and situations. It’s when I travelled to the US for the first time as a teenager, that I first realized that photography could allow me to take a step back and have a certain distance with reality. By taking a picture I could literally “freeze” my surroundings.
What work are you most proud of?
Probably the photos I haven’t taken yet.
What advice would you give younger photographers?
Take your time, there is no rush! It is not about the result, it is about the journey…Enjoy every bit of it, keep trying, keep shooting, keep loving it. And stick to your projects, for a long time.
Inspiration?
Everything from people/friends/nature/books/art/travels/food inspire me I guess…
Favourite part of your job?
To get to travel and discover the world.
Biggest challenge?
To be able do my job and raise my 3 little girls under 4 years old at the same time…balance is an everyday challenge!
Describe the best party you have ever been to.
A lot of friends, a lot of champagne, a lot of good food, a lot of music, in an old house in Italy...heaven!
What do you want to accomplish that you haven’t already?
Everything!
What excites you?
Movement, newness, adventure, meeting people, discovering the world.
What angers you?
Injustice of any kind.
