Irenaeus Herok

Irenaeus HerokSydney, Australia

When you combine a background that includes both fine arts and disciplined design, Irenaeus Herok is what you get. His style allows for a flexible range of focuses, but Herok’s work leans heavily towards landscape imagery. His fine art photography also shows a particular comfort with portraiture and aerial approaches. Early on, the Australia-based photographer’s work took its first bite of global attention when he was in Dubai. There, he became well known for his shots of sandy desert roads that seemed to serve as a commentary on a part of the gulf that is speeding towards a metropolitan utopia. These aerial images showed an eye for dramatic effect, one that was influenced by master painters and cinema. His work has been featured in publications such as 212 Magazine, VanityFair, Vice, The Guardian, Slanted Magazine, and Wired as well as clients including Apple and Lufthansa.
