Describe your first break.

I became known for my aerial photography of desert roads in Dubai that are covered in sand, which various publications became interested in.

Who are your creative heroes?

The painter’s John Webber, John Cleveley and Thomas Cole as well as Conrad Martens, Nicholas Chevalier and Gerhard Richter. And the photographers Gregory Crewdson, Massimo Vitali and Andreas Gursky.

What is in your dream collection?

I would include three photographic works; Bill Henson, Untitled #20, 2000/2001 as well as Andreas Gursky, The Rhine II, 1999 and Massimo Vitali, Sarakiniko Meltemi, 2011.

How did your photographic career begin?

As VFX matte painter.

What work are you most proud of?

My oceanscapes.

What advice would you give emerging photographers?

Learn to observe the light and learn to paint.
