Jun Tokunaga

Ehime, Japan

Jun Tokunaga’s take on floral photography leaves a near permanent impression. The Ehime, Japan, native is as fascinated with the flowers he shoots as he is by the techniques he uses to photograph them. That appreciation is less evident in any overt show of love than in Jun’s own work. As with any talented and expressive artist, it’s his craft that speaks volumes. Jun’s fine art floral photography is saturated with colour, amplified by his mastery of several compositions. Moving from image to image, it starts to become clearer that each flower he shoots is something seen apart from his other subjects. That is, each image is focused on a different subject, a different moment, and therefore requires its own personal attention. Jun’s work has been exhibited in Tokyo, Kyoto, Sapporo, Paris, and Dubai.
