Sinziana Velicescu Los Angeles

Velicescu's home is sunny Los Angeles —where she has built her main body of work. Inspired by Tinseltown's architecture, Velicescu highlights the city's strange oddities that would otherwise be hidden from our sight. She explores a variety of neighbourhoods, capturing the effect of human intervention on cityscapes with bold clean images. Velicescu's work has been shown internationally to critical acclaim in Chicago, New York, Hamburg, Melbourne, Tokyo, and Rome. She was also named by Photo Boîte as one of their '30 Female Photographers Under 30 to Watch in 2016.' Velicescu's award-winning series, 'On The Periphery,' is now available as a hardcover tome, published by Aint-Bad.
